This property is beautiful with an outstanding view providing a peaceful reflective space to recharge.
The kids explored the many paths taking a dip or two at the nearby beach. Life is easy here with everything you need it’s a comfortable stay. Our second time here we love it. Thank you for letting us stay again in your home, we had a great time reconnecting as a family.

In many years of travelling around Australia, this is hands-down the best place we have ever stayed. Incredible views, from outside and in. The viewing platform, outdoor shower and walk down to the beach were our favourite things. Very impressed to find the wood heater loaded and ready to go. I stayed here with my parents (so 3 adults) and my dog for 4 nights. We were all amazed upon arrival at the beauty of the location, the view, the ease of access and just the overall feel of the place! Right away we knew we were going to love it! Such a hidden gem and even better that our furry loved ones get to enjoy the serenity as well! Definitely a place we would all recommend and hope we can come back to one day!

This was an amazing property in the most beautiful place imaginable. The house was just amazing and you could sense the connection the owner had to it but also to the area. Aware of Pennington Bay and it’s beauty we were still blown away by the location of this hidden gem. We felt totally relaxed and comfortable our whole stay. Being Winter the weather, although sunny for quite a few days, did not compromise our enjoyment of the scenery and surrounds. Everything we needed to relax and just chill, including the warmth of the fire made our stay memorable. Our little dogs enjoyed the walks and we kept them inside during the nightly visits from the roaming wildlife. The skies were filled with stars at night and we could hear the waves crashing on the shoreline. Great position, considerate host and well-maintained home away from home. We are returning during Summer to enjoy a different season. Thank you!

We, and our dog, had plans and ideas for our holiday on Kangaroo Island. In the end we mostly stayed at home (as it became known) and it was perfect. No reason to leave when we had our own bay nestled nearby, sand dunes and beachy vegetation to explore, locals that hopped by and allowed us to share their world, an extensive range of books and dvds that could take us places, a wood fire that was eager to please, knew its stuff and warmed the back of our happy dog. And solitude. Much peace, space and solitude. No reason at all to leave.

We were looking forward to staying so close to Pennington Bay - a favourite part of KI; however, the photos just don't do this home from home justice. It's central - which is good - but we loved the surrounds so much, we stayed around the property. Daily walks through the private cut through to the bay; the cute look out may have seen a G&T or two being enjoyed and the fire pit was brilliant at night. We are about to book again for next year. Just lovely.

Allure Beach Retreat is a beautiful spot to spend a few nights. It is private and surrounded by nature, with beautiful views to the southern beaches of Kangaroo Island. The property is completely off-grid and very comfortable, and surrounded by wildlife, including a large group of tammar wallabies. Highly recommend it, and would love to stay there again in the future!

Absolutely loved our stay at Pennington Bay - what a stunning location and house to enjoy it in /from. Beach views and abundant wallabies and kangaroos right on your doorstep. Everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom for a long stay, spacious dining and lounge. Beautifully warm indoor fireplace made cool nights a treat. Great location remote and super quite but also central on KI itself - we enjoyed exploring flinders chase, emu bay, kingscote, american river and antechamber bay from this convenient base.Comfy bed and plentiful extra rugs to keep cosy.

This was the second time I've stayed at this property and hopefully not the last. I love Allure, I love the location and the privacy you get when staying here. Great little house which feels like 'home'. And lots of friendly furry locals too who come and say hello when the sun starts to go down.
The house has everything you need, is really comfortable and has the most amazing deck overlooking the bay. And its only a short stroll down to what is one of the most beautiful beaches. And the outdoor shower is amazing, one of my favourite things at the house.
I would highly recommend staying here, its unique, location is awesome, and you don't have to share the space with a gazillion people.

5-star all the way! Kangaroo Island is just heaven on earth, and Antonia's place was the little slice of heaven that we got to call home for a few days. The house is perfectly maintained and fit in so well with the surroundings, we love how environmentally conscious the place is and yet still provide high standard comfort. The location is just wow, the private path to the beach was great and was easy to walk down with our toddler and pups at sunset. Antonia is a friendly host with great communication. Thank you for sharing such a special place with us, great hospitality! Looking forward to making plans for our return again!

“Allure Beach Retreat has been one of the best rentals I've ever stayed in. The layout of the house is simple but so perfect in every way. We loved all the quirky artwork and how homely the place was. The beds were comfortable with beautiful linen, the house had everything you could need.
And then there is 'that view'! Million dollar view out over Pennington Bay and the surrounding scrub which is home to so many birds, wallabies and kangaroos. And you have it all to yourself on this private property.
I look forward to coming back and next time exploring Pennington Bay a bit more, it has to be one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. And I've been to many. We all loved our stay here, can highly recommend it if you enjoy the peace and quiet and having your own little piece of paradise.”
